I have noticed that they've already started to get a bronze color to the outside of the pipes, however, that doesn't bother me much. I am more than happy with the item and price. If the discoloration is a problem for you, I recommend keeping the packing in the pipes.... I personally don't mind. My bike is kind of a classic/hotrod/modified deal and it gets ridden, not parked and looked at.
