    '06 Prius w/JBL Nav System - Waste of Time and $$$

    I'll spare you my pain... do not buy this unit if you intend to install it into a Prius w/JBL and Nav system. IT DOES NOT WORK. 1. Instructions are tough to follow, and leave several key bits of info out that I had to call and get from PAC tech support. 2. Upon radio turn on, I experienced the intermittent sound flickering that many have complained about with Prius/JBL applications (I found this info after the fact, shame on me for not doing better homework in the Prius forums). The sound will play for a few seconds, surge off / go quiet, then come back on... and repeats this over and over. This is an integration issue with the JBL amplifier. 3. If you do as I did, solder connections, heat shrink all connections, cut unused wires back for neat install... guess what, you get to keep ...
