It does charge fast and have options for light effects, but most annoyingly, it doesn't open immediately into Home/Library like my trusty Paperwhite 6/7. I can see enough possible books on the Home Page itself. It wd. also have been helpful for sender to note, "No charging cable included" rather than me have to Google what I needed and spend $25AUS extra on one here.

The parcel was delivered on time and the packaging was adequate to give it some protection en route. It was purchased as a replacement for a damaged PW 5th gen owned by a friend of mine and they are very happy with the replacement unit. The frontlight does have some issues on the bottom edge of the screen but does not affect the reading area. All in all, we are very happy with the purchase.
