The AKG D-1000e is a great classic instrument microphone, simular to the Shure SM-57, but with flatter frequency response, making it the perfect mic for the lower instruments like Tenor Sax or Trombone. Does have a bit more handling noise, but not a problem if mounted on a stand. This one was in great shape for a mic of it's age. A real find!

    • Love it. Great Fun to Collect Vintage Microphones!

This vendor has a fun inventory. If you are a mic geek, you can find some real gems in there. I have purchased several mics from this vendor. Other than needing to be cleaned up when you get them with some windex spray, they are great, considering that they are used and decades old. This microphone is working fine. I did take some heavy gauge sand fabric for metal and scrubbed decades of dirt and metal corrosion off of it... resulting in it looking shiny new again.
