I am not too happy with the lack of good description of the item listed as a 'Mexican' Dagger. The seller failed to point out that the dagger was completely UNSHARPENED. So, in additon to the rust I did notice and the well-made sheath, this dagger was not intended for anything except ornamental use. It turns out this was a piece intended strictly for display and it will require restoration 1st.
