      Lightweight sturdy reel that holds plenty of line.

      Opted for one of these as a catfishing reel after considering a Fathom 15 LW and an Abu Garcia C3. I've fished a non levelwind fathom in the surf and like it, and I've fished with a C3 before. This reel is better than either by far. Although intended as a trolling reel, and I've seen people not recommend it for casting, it actually casts very well, better than the C3 by a long shot, and only the levelwind slows it down compared to my surf fathom. Holds plenty of 50 pound braid. Have it on an 8 foot St Croix Mojo Cat rod. Expensive setup, but one of the best feeling I've ever had. I know many people see the C3 as sort of a gold standard reel for catfishing but it's honestly incredibly overrated. This reel is worth the premium especially at this price (which is also cheaper than the Fathom). ...
