      great idea. poor execution

      I want to use my old 3-bolt road shoes with SPD pedals on our new spin bike. The Well RC8 appeared to be a magic bullet. However there are two problems: 1) the product doesn't include a practical qty of short mounting screws. Most applications will require 6x short screws to mount the cleats to the shoes, plus another 4x short screws to mount the strike plates to the cleats. There simply are not enough screws included with the product, because Wellgo includes freakishly long screws for outlier applications instead of the typical short length that a majority of users will require. 2) once the plates are mounted, the cleat does not produce the same stable feel that a typical SPD cleat will achieve with the same pedals. There's a ton of slop, and no way to adjust it. It's endemic to ...

      Good alternative

      This cleats works very good, it took me a day to break' em in and made clip smoth on the pedals, i just had to make a little adjustment and use some grease. After that everything runs like it suppose to. SPD wellgo is good and economic alternative compare with others cleats. They should come with a rubber covers to allow do some on and off the bike .

      Should've gotten this a long time ago

      Great to be able to use my road shoes on the MTB! As far as I can tell (even though it is Wellgo...) the quality is great, but i'm not walking on them. They give me just a little more friction in the float than other SPD cleats I've used. This doesn't really bother me once i got used to it, and may "wear off" with time.

      Peloton Shoes to SPD Easy Peasy!
