      As good or better than a Shure SM58...

      It's only one opinion, but I bought 2 of these mics in 1983 and they still work fine!! I have since tried other vocal mics, including the "durable workhorse" favorite shure sm58 and I still return to these Audio Technica Pro 4L's every time. In fact I own a SM 58 and it sits in it's pouch unused. Maybe the 4L just fits my voice range and tone better. Whatever the case, this is just as durable and reliable as any vocal mic on the market and a bargain IMHO !!!! I'm sure the "specs" say otherwise....but I like what I hear with this microphone and as I said previously...the two I purchased 34 years ago are working and I use them at gigs regularly...I bought this one as a backup(that I probably won't need) or a spare for others to use......

      I carry this mic in my guitar case in case I need a spare or replacement mic. It has a nice full sound and if it is lost or stolen not a big $ loss.
