I have been using forearm crutches for well over 10 years. This is the second time I have ordered these. I am 5'6 180 pounds. Many other brands have broken mid stride leaving me eating asphalt. These do need to be reinforced with bolts, but they last longer than others (so far) the new set they sent seems less durable. I WILL update! When I say reinforced, I bought thick bolts and drilled out the holes where the flimsy adjustable metal piece goes for height adjustment and put the bolts there.

    Stands apart from the rest

These forearm crutches are surprisingly light weight. Because the forearm cuff is genuinely of a small size, they are not for someone with a large arm or hand. The two sides of the forearm cuff extends around and nearly fully meet at the front. This provides safety which the forearm crutches that are wide open at the front do not have. I consider that type somewhat dangerous. And an especially nice thing about these crutches is that they are black. I like that feature a great deal. They are perfect with a black suit.

    Not Bad For The Price

The main reason I purchased these crutches is because the ones I originally had, the metal ones, are too heavy and the cuffs are way too big, they would constantly slip off my arm. I called a store that sells medical equipment to try and get smaller cuffs. I am still trying. For now theses are better but the quality is much cheaper, plastic vs metal. I would recommend it only for the fact that they are much lighter and the cuffs have a snug fit. They are only $36 vs $100,you get what you pay for. For now they will do but I can tell they won't last as long as my original pair. I will continue to look.

  • Great support!

They came quickly, are easy to adjust and a great stealth black. I do think the price is high as these are not heavy duty.

  • Not your standard crutch

“Normally, a person who uses crutches, will be given the longer crutches that go into the armpit. The stability of that style is considered to be better, but I believe the mobility of these crutches is greater. The support comes from the user pushing his weight away from himself, and thereby forcing the cuff into your arm. These take more strength to use, tho.
