    Makes my Ovation Bass sound like and Upright Bass.

    long Fit was perfect with my Ovation Acoustic bass. Makes my base sound like and upright. I had too open up the nut to fit the strings but that was no problem (tremble tool) very lightly worked. The bass and strings make for playing great blues, but along with playing I also have and upright bass I use. I am looking at adding the nylon strings to my upright bass to get that deep deep bass sound.

    As close as I can get...

    ...to make use of my electric in an acoustic band. I see reviews of "not very bright", "no sustain", etc. Facts are - they are not roundwound cobalt bright (on purpose), and they are made to emulate upright tone(flatwound/wrapped). They are for a specific sound - just what I was looking for.

    Smooth playing with great tone...

    1ST rehearsal with these new Rotosound bass strings and my bandmates couldn't stop with the compliments on the tone! Had always been a round wound player however these coated strings are the only way I'll go in the future.

    Nylon Coated Bass Strings.

    I have been using nylon coated bass strings since the 1970s. I find them to be much easier on the fingers, and I think they sound much deeper. I think they are well worth the money and I would recommend them to anyone.
