Not nearly the size nor dimensions of a standard US Mil Issue oval mess kit. The stainless steel is very thin & will conduct heat away from food rapidly. Condition is brand new & kit looks great! I would estimate the value to be about half what I paid & I would have been happy with the kit for $10, but for $20, I would expect a true rival to the US Military mess kit.
