Available in smooth matte black, this camera carries plenty of power thanks to a high-end TruePic VI image processor. You'll also get the benefit from a 1/1, 7-inch CMOS sensor and an aperture of F1.8-2.5, which give the Olympus X2 a brighter lens and enable easier photo-taking in natural light conditions. An improvement to the ISO sensitivity range gives photos even more clarity in low light. When your hands tremble, the camera compensates with internal image stabilization. The device captures full HD video, complete with stereo-quality sound. Set your sights on something beautiful and use the 3-inch LED screen to compose the photo.The Olympus XZ-2 series is a compact camera with a maximum resolution of 3968 x 2976 and 12 megapixels. It has both auto and manual focus for contrast and face detection, tracking, single image, and a live view function. The size of the touch screen is three inches with an optional electronic viewfinder. The Olympus Stylus has a maximum shutter speed of 1/2000 of a second, and it has a built-in pop-up flash with a flash range of 8.60m. Its flash modes include on, off, auto, red-eye, fill-in, and wireless. Connectivity for this camera includes USB 2.0, mini HDMI type-D, wireless Eye-Fi, and an optional RM-UC1 remote control. The XZ-2 uses a Lithium-Ion rechargeable battery as well as accessories such as a charger and battery pack.The XZ-2 uses a compact wide-angle-to-telephoto i.Zuiko lens, which can produce a quality image. The lens on this XZ-2 has an aperture of f/1.8 at 27mm and f/2.5 at 108mm, which enhances low-light performance and increases background blur when the subject is far from the background. The zoom lens is optical 4x and digital 2x. The Olympus has a control ring that is used for function settings, and it allows you to switch from digital to analog operations. You can capture multiple images at once to create a panoramic picture. You can also use the picture mode to enhance the image quality or get creative by adding a personal touch to your pictures and videos. The picture mode includes art filters, vivid, natural, muted, portrait, and monotone. The ISO of 12,800 gives each of the unique settings further depth and clarity.Olympus XZ-2 cameras have a three-inch touchscreen display that swivels out from the camera so that you can get better viewing angles while shooting low to the ground or above your head. The touchscreen has controls that you can use while shooting, including tap shooting, playback, touch shutter, touch enlargement, color setting, brightness, and color temperature. With the press of a separate movie button, you can record videos, and the Dual IS image stabilization system allows you to move around without creating shaky videos. Videos are recorded in full HD, and you can watch the videos on an HDTV with the use of an HDMI cable.These compact cameras have USB connectivity, and they work with Windows or Apple software.

    Olympus XZ-2

    Compact camera with very good picture quality. The optic has very good quality for the price. For hobby photographers, for travellers is a great choice. The touchscreen is very practical. It works for focusing, in picture vew mode as well. Focusing is enough fast, the menu is working fast as well. I didn't check the battery yet, but it's changeable. The video quality is also very good. We can hear the focusing motor sound slightly in the movie, not so much. For memories the integrated mic is enough, great for most of people. We can make a very-very good quality video/movie if we use a separate sound recorder.

    Great compact camera

    The Olympus XZ-2 is a sturdy, well made compact camera. The picture quality is amazing. There are many, many features on the camera for special effects and it takes great low light pictures. If long distance zoom is important, this may not be the camera for you but this camera was perfect for our vacation. It fit right into my purse, isn't bulky, even with the case and is very easy to use. I love this camera!
