        Great camera that is very easy to use

        I bought this camera for home surveillance and I am very impressed with it. I installed the provided programs that were included with the the camera onto my laptop in minuets, then I found a compatible app for my iphone 6s. And I was up and running just like that. The camera provides good quality visual images but the audio is hit and miss. I have been able to view my home from anywhere I have access to Wi-Fi internet or cel phone coverage area. Was able to check in on our friend who was staying at our house when we were on vacation.

        Focam should either pull this product from the market or upgrade the software to match the latest control options at a minimum. They can skip those features this model doesn't provide, but at lease those works should have exactly new software for control. This is especially important for the connectivity interface. It was impossible for average user to connect it to the cloud, or LAN.

        Good, but has a couple issues...

        I bought an additional Foscam FI8910W, since I was already familiar with it. It generally works great, except for one minor problem. We wanted the two-way audio feature, but it only works when you are at home with your tablet or phone on your network with your camera(s). When trying to access from remote, the two-way audio does NOT work, which somewhat defeats the purpose. When compared to many other similar IP cameras, it still is better than most.

        Tried and True

        The browsers are going crazy with security these days. Making IP cams difficult to view and almost impossible to view outside of your lan with a computer. I don't like viewing with my smart phone. But this model is tried and true and has stood the test of time. Yes, outside the lan is still difficult but they work great inside your lan. I use Blue Iris and they work well with it. I've tried other Foscam models and also Amcrest. None work as good as the 8910. They can stand a little weather if covered well. This is the only model I use now.

        Great buy.

        Over all good price and product. I have the camera up and running on my home router and it's viewable when signed into my my network WiFi from the app on my phone or desktop. I am having trouble getting the port forwarding set up to view from an outside source but it's likely just my lack of port forwarding knowledge.
