      Shame on Maui Jim for Abusive Pricing; Still These Glasses Are the Best

      These glasses are expensive but they are outstanding. Some people may feel that the cost is not worth it, and I would prefer that Maui Jim price the product more fairly. They seem to be taking advantage of their unique position in the market by pricing the product excessively high.

      The frame quality of Stingray glasses has gone down

      This is the third pair of Stingray glasses I have owned. The first two were of higher quality. With the new pair, the frame is markedly less strong and rigid, has a less substantial feel to it. It is so flexible that the lenses squeak and rattle within the frame during normal use, and more so when I give it even a minor twist ( never had this happen before with my previous Maui Jims ). In comparison, going back a good fifteen years ago to my first Maui Jim glasses, these frames have a much less solid build to them, I would generously say these have a chintzy feel in comparison to my older frames. I still have my two older pairs ( cracked but useable as emergency backups ), and there is a noticeable cheapness to the feel of the new frames. In contrast, I have no complaints about the ...

      Fabulous sunglasses, poor case.

      I have 3 pairs of Maui Jim sunglasses. I just purchased a replacement stingray pair - mine were taken at Home Depot. People know the quality of Maui Jim so it's best to keep them in your hands while shopping. The new case is not what I expected. When I bought ny first pair 20+ years ago, the case was 100% better. The new one is poor.

      Great for women too!

      These are marketed as men's sunglasses but I have worn them for years. This is my second pair and I am grateful to find them for such a reasonable price! They have a slight wrap around style which is makes a huge difference for my photo sensitivity. They have real glass lenses and are dark without being too dark. They really improve my vision.
