    A good plastic model kit of a famous US Navy ship.

    I was stationed on the Sara's sister ship the USS Independence. I will convert it into the Independence as I am building a model history of the Indy. 2 models to be built. One in Indy's original fit circum 1959 and one of the fit during my time there, late '70's/early '80's. This is the largest model of the ship available at a reasonable price.

    USS SARATOGA. 1:542 SCALE

    Well molded , flight deck has a bad molding break point that takes a bit of repair work. Not a lot of extra details. Needs much more resin and photo etch aftermarket parts to make it pop. With this scale, aftermarket items are scarce.

    A Special Gift to an Old Sailor

    I will make this model and give it to my uncle, who served in the Navy on the real Saratoga. It appears to be a complete model. I haven’t done an inventory on all the parts, but I’m trusting that it’s all there and will be fine.
