      I am very happy with this item! I am able to record on my blank VCR tapes and play them back as well as I am able to play my DVDs including the one I recorded myself. I hope this situation continues for a very long time because I have many blank tapes to record and many tapes and DVDs to watch.

      Works but I had to clean the head throug...

      Works but I had to clean the head throughly several times first. And the rewind and fast forward engine is weak. Does not rewind or fast forward all the way. The remote was a universal remote that was not programmed for this vcr yet. Other than that, it's just okay.
