The cables were left plugged into the device which is a big no-no for any kind of electronics. I specifically asked that they not be plugged in to avoid damage if it gets thrown around in transit. I guess they never read the message? Regardless, it was packed well enough to survive, but sold as untested so if the connectors are broken internally I am stuck with it anyway.
