      Preferred string. Oftentimes people believe light string are not loud. In fact these strings are both easy to fret and highly responsive.

      Strings are a matter of taste

      These strings have a very bright sound, and are easy to fret. I think the sound would be good for more classical music instead of bluegrass. Unfortunately, they are not to my taste. The first string was disproportionately louder than the rest, and stuck out. I like a warmer sound.
