Speaking as someone who is devoted to music but who suddenly developed severe tinnitus in one ear, I can honestly describe 2E1 as a life-saver. For my own requirements, I did need to make one adaptation, which was to buy a pair of 30dB Peltor ear defenders and replace the hollowed out, 'dummy' side of 2E1 with something more substantial. I now have one spare 30dB ear defender, and have not hesitated in ordering another 2E1 !
