They arrived inside a zip lock bag which was then double-wrapped and finally placed inside plastic mailers in case of accidental spills. However, they weren't needed as the bottles weren't damaged during shipping; the seals were still intact. As for the oil itself...it's sweet almond oil which is on the lighter side which absorbs quickly. So far my sensitive skin has tolerated the oil quickly.
