The collars spin easily on and off the handles. However, the interior threading on the collars was not cleaned up after tooling and I cut my finger on one. But that was easily fixed with some sandpaper so I recommend sanding the interior thread on the collars before using them. The freshly knurled handles also feel sharp and they can be sanded as well. Overall I'm satisfied with the purchase.
