The surface cleaner was just a loose box placed inside the main carton but survived shipment because it had to be handled with a hand-truck (77#). I opened the box to make sure the surface cleaner was included. I have not assembled the unit yet, but I have confidence it will perform well due to the specs and the name brand. My old one is just 3000 PSI. This new one was a great deal with the discount coupon so I couldn't go wrong I feel.
