Bone Dry!
I’ve only been hammock camping for a couple years. I started out just sleeping in my Double ENO on trips with no rain in the forecast. I then purchased a Pro Fly. I thought it worked well until a strong storm rolled through one night blowing rain everywhere. I had never actually been wet while camping overnight, talk about miserable. When I got back from that trip I purchased the HouseFly. I’ve used it in the yard on several nights with strong storms and heavy winds…Bone Dry! It does not come with stakes, so you will need to purchase those. In the woods, you may be able to tie the ends off on some low trees/branches. Seems like this works excellent as a lightweight tent/shelter all on its own. I’ve set up my Helinox table and chair under it, disconnected the hammock and been dry ... I’ve now purchased a couple poles so that I can even use it without trees or the hammock. I mostly camp on gravel bars on the river and sometimes you just cannot find trees at the proper distance apart. With this and the poles, I can sleep right on the gravel with my air mattress if need be. ENO uses clever clips / snaps that makes this easy to adjust. Unlike a traditional tent, you do have to make sure it is centered over the hammock and then adjust the sides to make sure they are essentially as low as the weighted hammock. Even on day trips where I used to carry a Noah’s Tarp … I now just pack the HouseFly in my kayak.

Eno Housefly Tarp
The choice was between the Eno Housefly and the Warbonnet Superfly. I was able to physically hold both tarps and they were practically identical. I liked the quick release tabs on the doors of the Eno. I had been using the Eno Doublenest Hammock, but upgraded to a Warbonnet Blackbird XLC. The Housefly covers very well, so I didn't have to invest more money. Does great....no problems whatsoever!The choice was between the Eno Housefly and the Warbonnet Superfly. ENO House Fly
