Notes
Bar Stools and Beach Chairs. Finally, a recording about fine furniture. The title track takes me back to when I first started performing. I had a Jeep Grand Wagoneer with all of my stuff loaded in the back. I would play anywhere that would have me, and at the end of the evening I often found myself hours from home or hours from the next gig. I would drive until I got sleepy, then pull over and sleep on the backseat until I got too hot or cold, then I would drive some more. The Jeep had a great backseat. On one typical evening, I left Cedar Key about 1 A.M. on my way to Daphne, Alabama. I slept in a convenience store parking lot in Perry, FL for a couple of hours, then made it to downtown Apalachicola where I got some more Z's before the morning traffic woke me up. I finally found a deserted beach on Cape San Blas where I got some meaningful rest in my beach chair. I made it to Alabama just in time to leave on the 12- hour trip (not counting the stop in the French Quarter) to see Jerry Jeff Walker at the Luckenbach Dance hall. Although I don't have many nights like this anymore, not much has changed. The time on the Bar Stool still allows me to spend time in the Beach Chair. Many thanks to all of the people who continue to show up and make it a pleasure for me to do my job. Jim Morris Burnt Store Marina February, 2000.

- s***e (84)- Feedback left by buyer.Past 6 monthsVerified purchaseThe album cover is in excellent condition, as described! It was packaged very well to protect it from damage. The price was reasonable. However, the shipping was a bit expensive. The vinyl had minor age-appropriate warping that didn't affect sound quality. Pleased buyer!
