The haptic bass helps offset the lack of audible bass from the open ears while letting me still have good situational awareness while walking around downtown or biking/skating about.

Upon use it was clear the prior owner had damaged the internals: it rattles even at low volume. Still functional at very low volume, not a surprise for a haptic/speaker device with "used" condition, got what I paid for. Seller interaction was excellent, though!
