    One of the best I'll ever own

    I tried a different 7 String years ago - a signature 7 string from Dean - and the craftsmanship was awful, and I paid like $900 for it. The neck never let me forget I was playing a bigger instrument. And the FR whammy bar is SO loose - it fell out of my guitar during a jam session and landed on my feet. I took it to a guitar repair to what we could do about making the frets higher and getting the whammy bar fixed. I was like $1200. So when I ran across this "JEM" I was skeptical. I should have returned the Dean but didn't - I wasn't going to make the same mistake with this guitar. So I played it every day since I got it. The neck feels like a regular guitar with a 7 string. It is a joy to play. I LOVE the last 4 scalloped frets at top. Frets and neck are outstanding. Pickups ...

    GREAT GUITAR, A LITTLE DIFFICULT TO ADJUST TO AFTER LES PAUL BUT THE MORE I PLAY IT THE MORE I LIKE IT. IT IS HEAD HEAVY SO A STRAP WITH SUEDE OR SOME ABRASIVE LINER HAS TO BE USE SO HEAD WON'T DROP. OVERALL A SMOOTH PLAYABLE INSTRUMENT.
