    The Advent powers on just fine, and works just fine! Due to its age and probably how it was maintained, it does require servicing which I was expecting, so nothing out of the ordinary. Overall, the description was accurate and the Advent did work for the first day of moderate use, then conked out due to what I believe are the belts. Anyhow, shipping, compared to items that were heavier I ordered previously, I believe was a bit excessive, but the item I believe was priced accordingly.

    For the audio

    I bought this for the SACD and DVD Audio playback...also because the metal faceplate matches a vintage (1979) Realistic receiver I own. It was well packaged and is in great working condition.
