    Deburr sharp edges first

    Just beware of sharp burrs around the edges.... scored the bore installing... deburr first! Also spend the extra cash and get the kit with the shims... although I reused my plastic shim with no problems...

    No more plastic on metal gears!

    If your looking, just but it. This S&S oil gear is a tad costly, but worth every cent. HD must have had too much weed the day the they thought a plastic gear was a good idea! This is the first S&S part I got new only because I couldn't find one used in useable condition. This is what the poor bikers have to do sometimes. If you have experience or knowledge on the mechanical doings, it's not a major project at all. I needed a new cam anyways, so the plastic pos was damaged abd needed replacement. All good now! Don't hesitate and get one if yours is plastic.
