The sponge side however does deteriorate quickly and is not very absorbent compared to typical square kitchen sponges. Purchase these for diswashing only and not as a replacement for square sponges used for general household cleaning.

In the pictures they look like the ones Dollar Tree used to sell, but they are extremely thin and flimsy. Avoid like the plague. Also, the ones I received are pink, not yellow as shown.
