    Very solid "Old School" design with good features

    Fully disclosure: I am an electrical engineer with a great deal of experience testing inverters. This model, Go Power GP-SW300, is essentially the same as Cotek S-300 and Samlex SA-300. All three are manufactured by Cotek which is a Taiwan based company. All three are discontinued models but can still be found as NOS. I have examined two units of the GP-SW300 and while being an "Old School" design with mostly "through-hole" construction (there is one small 1"X1.5" SMT board) construction quality looks to be excellent. These use a Low Frequency topology which is uncommon in modern designs in this power range. LF topology is now mostly confined to high end, higher power designs.     Exceeds expectations

    Totally different class of construction than makes that are just a bit lower in price. People report these as dependable over time and I see why, looking under the hood. I wondered what on Earth was in the box when it came because more cheaply made ones are much lighter-weight (that's not a good thing). Unless you want to tinker and modify others internally so they don't self destruct, get this one because it won't burn up and they don't lie about the power rating. Unbelievably well-built for what it is. I needed dependability for small wedding PA.
