BIG TROUBLE IN NEKONRON, CHINA: A young Chinese girl named Lychee appears riding a flying elephant and carrying half of an ancient scroll; she is furious with the old lecherous martial-arts master Happousai because he gave the scroll to her great-grandmother, promising her it would bring her untold happiness and a marriage to a rich prince. Four generations of women clung to the scroll, waiting for the appearance of the prince, but to no avail. Of course, no sooner has Lychee handed the scroll to Akane, then Prince Kirin appears with his Seven Lucky Gods of martial arts, and abducts Akane--whom he believe to be his bride--and flies her back to China. Now our hero, the alternately male and female martial arts warrior Ranma, must travel to China, face the Lucky Gods, and get back his fiancée before she decides she really is in love with the prince. NIHAO MY CONCUBINE: In this full-length movie version of Rumiko Takahasi's sex-changing martial-arts anime, Ranma and his crew of kooky friends crash their yacht on a desert island, where they must battle a motley mix of outrageous foes. To make matters worse, the women of the party begin vanishing, kidnapped by the island's ruler who wants them for his harem. Ranma must transform into his female identity and go undercover to thwart the sex-addled scheme and rescue his fiancée Akane. Along the way, he must compete in a bride contest.
