    Tricky to install, but works great with Windows 7 Pro.

    Requires a technical skill-set to install hardware and software drivers. No instructions came with product. Had to figure out the Y-cable adapters to use and purchase for my PC from eBay. Also, had to find which folder contained the right driver from mini CD disk that matched USB 3.0 PCI Express card. However, after much time and energy expended, got it installed and it works just fine using Windows Pro 7. Next move is to get devices to run with this much faster speed standard. Excellent product for price and a good value. I do not recommended product for newbies..

    Easy set ut with windows 10

    While I haven't actually done any real benchmark speed tests to see if I'm getting the expected throughput of USB 3 compared to my old USB 2 ports, I have say I was very happy that windows 10 (mine is win-10 pro 64 bit) installed the drivers without a hitch. This may be one of the few times so far I've been happy I've had this operating system, because be warned... you get a mini CD labelled "drivers" without even a 'readme" file, automated setup, or anything that would offer a clue to what files to use if i did need to install it myself. Truth be told, its not really clear what the brand or model number is, so I'm not sure I'd have had an easy time getting info from the manufacturer. But it is plug-and-play on windows 10, which for the price is certainly a plus.

    A bit of a pain to set up. No instructions and CD is loaded with drivers of other hardware. Had to go online to figure it out. But now I have 4 USB 3.0 ports and that's a good thing.

    Works with Oculus Rift S

    It just works. There's not much more to it than that. I specifically bought this one because it said it could supply the full 5v/0.9a of the USB 3.0 standard. I'm happy to say that it works perfectly with an Oculus Rift S, even though the add-in card recommended by Oculus costs twice as much.
