    Solid peace of equipment but for repointing a house as you squeeze the trigger it pushes the water out the cement mix that drips out the back leaving the cement in the tube to get more dry to a point it won't squeeze out the nozzle by the time your half way down the tube

    Fast delivery, but bought this to hopefully make it easier to re point between my paving flags, Unfortunately didn't really work to well, the 1st bit came out then wouldn't push no more. Had to empty and refill it to get it to work again, gave up in end and went back to using a trowel. I'll possibly try it again using wetter mix. The product does look good quality though just didn't work on those job.

    Mortar/Boilie Gun

    This is a great bit of kit for making boilie's for carp fishing and also for doing re-pointing of walls ect. The extra nozzles are very handy for producing the bait sausages to the correct size prior to rolling on the bait rolling table as they can be cut easily with a craft knife. It has a strong handle mechanism, and it is easily cleaned after use. I do recommend this bit of kit. The only down side is that I could do with more heavy duty round ended screw in nozzles to trim to trim to different sizes. But all in all for the price its spot on.

    Labour saving to apply mortar

    This gun is ideal for saving time and effort for applying mortar. In saying that it my experience was that it cannot be used with a mix that contains sharp sand as the spout is not big enough and the pressure from the gun causes the moisture to come out and leave the mix too dry inside. Nevertheless a very well made and robust tool.

    Best tool for pointing Tips on use 1.Make mortar 5 to 1 with mortar sand and use with plasterer it needs to be runner. 2.Use waterproof grease on push rod and screw threads on cylinder. 3. To clean cylinder You need a round brush I modified loo bush made handle longer. Yes it dose push the water out but only 20 - 30 mm at plunger end

    Excellent product

    After reading a few reviews on the Roughneck mortar gun, I wasn't totally convinced it would be any good. Having absolutely no pointing experience I found the mortar gun easy to use and quicker than if I hadn't used it. I found knocking the cement up with a plasterers mixer and drill as another review had suggested worked well. 10/10
