Paul go the original tuners too close at the front of the headstock and the two furthest from the nut "shared" a screw! (So much for hand made"). Anyway the ancient Schaller locking tuners were worn out. I selected Hipshot tuners with their rear U-channel (so no new holes). However, buyer beware, the hipshot press-in ferrels aren't threaded all the way up and the string holes were covered! Fortunately, the old ones fit.
