Bought the silver one first and liked it enough to go ahead and get the gold tone to compare the sound. Both produce a bright tone with the silver a little brighter I took the time to soak and clean all the tubing and cylinders with brushes. Then I used the oils and slide lubricants I liked, and it's a good sounding horn.
