    Faster cleaning and oiling with this jag then with a slotted tip.

    I never tried a jag until quite recently - I always just used the old slotted tip that comes with every cleaning kit in existence. This jag allows you to press the patch to the bore firmly and makes cleaning a little bit faster. And for cleaning the chamber of an autopistol, or the cylinders on a revolver, I double up on the patches and just twist the jag (while grasping the patch).
