I've been using gel packs and have to refreeze them way too often as they don't retain cold as long as an old-fashioned ice pack. I use ice packs when my arthritis flares up and I need to draw the inflammation out of my hands. Ice bags collect condensation on the outside of the bag, but not much and I just use a handkerchief between the ice bag and my sore hands and that's an easy-enough solution. And these bags don't leak!
