Cocked and locked, the thumb break retention strap fits the Colt Gold Cup National Match slightly better than the Gold Cup Trophy because of the different hammer styles, but works OK on both. I have not been able to stretch the retention strap over the hammer like in the picture (at least not yet) but it goes in front of the hammer so that it can be snapped closed on both of those Colt models. The body of the gun itself fits perfectly in this holster.

My Galco is open and doens't keep the handgun secure. Holster is a tad tight, but fits very nicely and I'm sure will form to my handgun. The leather is a little thinner than a Galco Holster, but also costs a bit less.
