- e***1 (1451)- Feedback left by buyer.Past yearVerified purchaseItem is not a direct replacement for S1742 and possibly others without modification. Both pulley V walls are 3.6" so one rubs against the brake rod = metal on metal friction = noisy and will ruin the brake rod. Perhaps the correct pulley V wall (look at old one) being reduced to 3.25" then the reduced area being coated with a rust inhibitor might work so there is no metal on metal contact between the pulley and the brake rod but the efficacy of that can be determined on a case by case basis.
