    Works well, unique on the market

    I sue this type pruner pretty heavy, eight good sized apple trees every spring plus miscellaneous pruning. But they don't last forever under this use. This is my 3rd one. Still I buy them over and over again because they work well, have handy, short handles and still my old, injured, weak wrists can operate them.

    Midsize Loppers

    Had my doubts about plastic gears, but it’s fiber reinforced polymer and I put mine through hell clearing my camp property with no issues. Don’t seem to gum up and an occasional touch-up sharpening with a 6” fine tooth bastard file has me lopping again. The mid length is perfect. I never use my full size loppers now. If this one can’t handle it, you probably need the saw anyway

    The power combined with light weight and compact size is a remarkable engineering achievement. I hope Fiskars has good patents and makes a killing.

    Disabling injury has impaired my grasp in both hands. I’m capable of some pruning tasks with these where I failed with standard Felco bypass-style hand pruners. I intend to refrain from overtaxing these on thicker (e.g. 1/2” & up deadwood) stuff to extend the life of these cutters. I suspect the absence of all-metal cutting components will be the weakness that others experience in time with heavy use.

    Buy Fiskars brand for everything!

    This is my second pair of these, I was introduced to Fiskar Brand the 70s As a professional seamstress, the incredible lightweight sharp scissors which never need sharpening sold me on the brand entirely! As I said this is my second Pair, but I did not mention is I bought the first pair 40 years ago! They finally broke after years of abuse! So far is taking care of them I’ve oil them probably twice and I try to keep them out of the rain… I certainly keep them out of the front yard where they can be picked up by anybody and my Beloved pair stolen! I’m looking into the 8 foot pruner right now… Go Fiskars!

    Super light weight,

    These are great pruners for keeping on our jeep, tractor and Polaris to trim branches back along trails. Light weight, will not rust, sharp blade. This is not a lifetime tool, it is more on the disposable side. I do really like them and this is my 6th pair. we have only broken one pair. I first found them at Home Depot, but did not see them last time so I bought on Ebay. Cut branches under 3/4" and it should work fine.
