Fix is to fasten a stainless steel hose clamp around the spring where it mates with the threaded plastic insert. In addition, the threads on the supplied bolt (M10x1.5) need to be extended an additional ~5 cm along the bolt shaft in order to provide enough spring tension to assist with the lift of a 44" snow blower attachment on a John Deere X300.

This was shipped quickly but the post office dropped the ball and it was delayed by them and NOT THE SELLER FAULT. I gave him 5 stars and will buy from him again. I did contact the seller about the delay and he assured me that my item was going thru the USPO system, so excellent communication. A+++ seller.
