I bought this 8586D Solder Station to remove a 28-pin surface mount part I was having trouble removing and replacing. This unit took the part off the PCBA with ease. The price is very good and the unit is reasonably well made. I do wish it had a slightly longer power cord and perhaps a weight in the base to help keep it in one place on the work bench. But for the price, this is a well working good quality unit at a very good price in my opinion.
