Notes
The Everly Brothers occupy a class entirely of their own, by far the most gifted vocal duo of all time and a major influence on every vocal harmony act who followed them, in particular, The Beatles. Between 1957 and 62 they recorded a devastating body of work, enjoying almost unparalleled success - which included fifteen million selling singles - for the Cadence and Warner Bros labels. • Their biggest hits during this period were 'Bye Bye Love', 'Wake Up Little Susie', 'All I Have To Do Is Dream', 'Bird Dog', 'Problems', '(Til) I Kissed You', 'Let It Be Me', 'Cathy's Clown', 'When Will I Be Loved', 'So Sad', 'Walk Right Back', 'Ebony Eyes', 'Temptation' and 'Crying In The Rain'. All can be found on this compilation, which features all their singles between 1956 and 1962, including a couple of rare UK-only B-sides. Also included, as "bonus tracks", are four releases on Don Everly's short-lived Calliope label, including his US?Top 40 hit 'The Graduation?Song', which carried a label credit to 'Adrian Kimberly'.
