- _***o (189)- Feedback left by buyer.Past 6 monthsVerified purchaseI was born in Alabama, with a Papershell Pecan Tree in our front yard, that my oldest sister planted before I was born. The pecans were about 1 1/2" long, filled out and tasty!!! I once lived in Georgia also, and have picked up pecans from trees everywhere - so I know my pecans! This Seller Pecans were much Smaller, Dried Up with a Bitter Molded Taste. They seemed to be 2-3 Years Old. Unfit to Sale and Eat! I Threw Them Away!!! I Already Had Some Stuart Pecans - I Bought from a Fruit Market!Reply from: smphbooks- Feedback replied by seller smphbooks.- Feedback replied by seller smphbooks. We respect your memories of AL-GA pecans but your not supposed to eat the middle septum of the pecan as you did, it is bitter. Being over 1000 different varieties of pecan trees; our Utah Western 2024 pecans grown in a low humidity, dry arid desert climate will be different from Southern pecans in a moist sub-tropical climate. If you would've just asked we would have happily advised you, offered a full refund & paid to get our wonderful 6LBS of 2024 pecans back. It is sad you wasted our pecans.
