      Renovation kit review

      This unit was what I had been looking for except for the ball valve that was included. It was not the type that I needed , probably a newer style. I needed the ball valve with a slot that fits the pipe that is plumbed into the wall. This is a very difficult pipe to replace, so I found the older type of brass ball that I had used earlier and it worked fine. otherwise, the parts worked good.

      Fast ship, closely review what is included in the package

      Note that this kit does not include the chrome sleeve behind the crystal knob which is included in PN RP54870 on the Delta site. The seller correctly lists all of the parts included in their listing, however you are not getting the kit part number RP54870 as listed. If you are upgrading an older gold faucet you will need to buy the sleeve separately if you buy this kit.

      Perfect to update your older Delta single-handle tub faucet

      I have an older Delta single-handle tub faucet that I installed in '96. The face plate was corroded, as was the chrome handle. This fit perfectly and cleaned things up nicely. From my research I think that there are two styles of these from back in the day, so carefully compare yours to the kit. In my case, the comparison was perfect. Installation took about 15 minutes.
