The hooks felt cheap yet strong enough to hold a wet towel. I took them off due to squeaking. Some bars are friction fit together, which means you can squeeze them together if they feel loose. The drywall screws it comes with are terrible; get good ones from a local hardware store. The shelf is in new condition, overall a good value, and looks good once hung.

The one I received suffered from a broken base plate, I contacted the seller and they went above and beyond by replacing the entire item with a new one even though all I needed was a new base.
