It can survive crashes make sure you throttle down immediately. The charge plug on the copter is finicky make sure it stays plugged in until it is charged. I was able to maneuver it around my living room with some practice and a few crashes. Might be hard for children as it takes very fine manipulation of the controls but doable for older kids.
