    I am very GLAD I bought this mic

    I film using a Sony AX 100 which Sony put a unique shoe on that will not except common accessories like an LED light, microphone or whatever you wanted to mount to the shoe. The ECM-XYST1M mic is designed to fit the unique design of the hot shoe on the AX 100. There are no visible wires on the mic because the data is transferred through the hot shoe mount as well as battery power so there are no batteries that need to be charged other then the battery for the camera. There is a shock mount built in to the mic for protection. And compared to some other external mics in my opinion this one looks pretty Awesome mounted on the camera and the mic comes with a wind muffling "dead cat" that actually doesn't look nerdy!
