Whether the sheath is actually leather or not know but neither do I know of the expensive Rambo knives I have. It looks true to the actual K-BARs except to the lower positioning of the holding strap and some of the emboseing on the sheath. No biggy! It has good heft and is solid. It is certainly a good substitute for the original K-BAR price wise and by the fact it is only used to stab with. The people committing on using them for axes etc. are ridiculous.
