Perfect size with a strudy lid
The shape is perfect for a whole stick of butter. The top is very sturdy and stays in the groove so it does not slip off. The only thing I would change is to put some etchings or cuts in the glass so it isn't so slick when you wash it or if you get butter on the lid. But I really love it!

Poor Handle, Very slippery
The dish does a good job of what it is intended to do. Only 3 stars because the handles as illustrated indicates a narrower waist than is the reality. One needs to have extremely clean and dry hands (not the usual for kitchen use or even at the table) to pickup the cover to avoid it slipping and as often happens becoming broken. There are other butter dishes with a more substantial handle on the cover. Look for something more substantial if you are a cooker or backer...The dish does a good job of what it is intended to do. sturdy thick glass.
It is a really nice butter dish. The only product downfall we experience is the shape or design of the handle. There isn't enough handle to grip. It should have more of a extended feature to hold onto. Other than that, we like it. Thank you

Butter dish HAS IT ALL!!!
We bought a butter dish that uses the 'eastern states' smaller butter size, well in the PNW we use normal butter sizes, and this is the BOMB! That smaller size always had butter on the top portion as the normal size butter sticks always impinged on the top portion. Love the handle too!!!

Crystal clear, heavy glass construction
Heavy glass construction, the top stays in place, easy to grab knob doesn't slip from my fingers! Butter is now "cat proof", she cannot get the lid to budge! Washes up nicely, am looking forward to many years with this dish!
